How great is Mother Earth for giving us an essential oil diffuser with healing properties of its own? Essential Oils are not for everyone, but the properties of Lava Stone are! The properties are all listed below, but if you are interested in wearing this for essential oils please make sure you read up on the oil you are using to ensure that it is safe! 

To apply the oil into the stone, put the oil on your fingers or on cotton. Rub the oils into the lava stone so it is absorbed by the stone. Once it is absorbed, you are good to go! The scent can last anywhere from a few hours to all day, sometimes even a couple days depending on each stone, each oil, and how much you use. 

Lava Stone, or Basalt, is very soft and therefore might give off some residue. Be careful wearing against clothing that will not blend well with the charcoal residue. Be cautious about the amount of oils you put on as well, as they might leave residue on clothing beneath.
